Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75210-10H 10m Cat5e F/UTP grijs

The ShiverPeaks BS75210-10H 10m Cat5e F/UTP Grey is a shielded Ethernet patch cable designed for reliable network connections over short to medium distances. Meeting Cat5e standards, this 10-meter cable supports common LAN speeds and provides improved signal integrity through its F/UTP shielding. Its neutral grey jacket suits residential and office installations where neat, unobtrusive cabling is desired.

Advantages

F/UTP construction combines a foil screen around the overall pair set with unshielded twisted pairs, which reduces electromagnetic interference from external sources while maintaining flexibility. The 10 m length offers enough reach for typical desk-to-switch or wall-port connections without excess slack. The Cat5e specification ensures compatibility with Fast Ethernet and many Gigabit Ethernet setups in typical home and small business networks.

Suitable for

• Connecting routers, switches and desktop computers
• Home networks and small office LANs
• Patching between wall sockets and network equipment
• Structured cabling runs where moderate interference rejection is required

Key specifications

• Category: Cat5e compliant cable
• Shielding: Foiled overall shield with unshielded twisted pairs (F/UTP)
• Length: 10 metres
• Colour: Grey outer jacket
• Connector type: Standard RJ45 terminated at both ends
• Conductor type: Twisted pair copper conductors

How to use

Connect one RJ45 plug to your network device (router, switch or computer) and the other plug to the target port. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to establish a stable physical and electrical connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference such as large power transformers or unshielded fluorescent fixtures. For wall-mounted installations, use appropriate cable clips or trunking to keep the run tidy and secure.

Recommendations

Use this Cat5e F/UTP cable for typical Ethernet installations up to the recommended Cat5e performance limits. For environments with very high interference or longer-distance runs, consider higher category shielded cables or fibre optic options. Inspect connectors for damage before installation and replace the cable if the jacket or plugs show wear or cuts.
