Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 15m

The ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP networking cable, 15 meters in length, is designed for high-speed data transmission and reliable network connections. This grey cable features S/FTP shielding and RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to reduce interference and maintain consistent signal quality across longer runs. It is suitable for connecting routers, switches, network cards and other Ethernet-enabled devices in home and office environments.

Advantages

S/FTP construction combines an overall foil shield with individually shielded pairs to provide enhanced protection against electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference. The Cat6 specification supports higher bandwidth and improved performance compared with earlier cable categories, while gold-plated contacts on the RJ-45 plugs improve contact reliability and resist corrosion. The 15 m length allows flexible placement of equipment without relying on additional adapters or extenders.

Suitable for

• Wired Ethernet connections for home networks
• Office network and switch-to-switch links
• High-speed internet access and streaming
• Connecting PCs, NAS, game consoles and smart TVs

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding type: S/FTP (overall foil with individually shielded pairs)
• Length: 15 meters
• Connector type: RJ-45 plugs
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Color: Grey
• Conductor configuration: 4 twisted pairs

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to your router, switch or wall outlet and the other connector to the device requiring network access. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the plug clicks to establish a secure connection. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and excessive tension; leave service loops where necessary to prevent stress on connectors. For wall-mounted installations, secure the cable with appropriate clips or cable management accessories without compressing the shielding.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the cable within standard Cat6 application distances and avoid running it in parallel with high-voltage power lines. If installing in areas with strong electromagnetic interference, verify that both ends of the network link are using compatible shielded equipment and properly grounded to maintain the effectiveness of the S/FTP shielding.
