Netwerkrepeater TP-Link RE800BE tri-band 802.11ax 802.11ac

The TP-Link RE800BE Tri-band 802.11ax/802.11ac network repeater extends wireless coverage in large homes and offices by adding two additional Wi‑Fi bands and increased throughput. It supports Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Wi‑Fi 5 (802.11ac) devices, multiple security protocols including WPA3, and can join EasyMesh systems to create a seamless mesh network.

Advantages

Tri-band design provides dedicated capacity for high‑speed devices and backhaul, reducing congestion and improving overall network performance. A 10 Gbps multi‑gigabit Ethernet port alongside two 1 Gbps ports gives flexible wired connectivity options and higher throughput for wired devices. Multi‑Link Operation enables simultaneous data transmission across bands to lower latency and increase reliability. Eight high‑gain internal antennas expand coverage and strengthen signal stability across larger areas.

How to use

Place the repeater within range of your main router where signal is still strong, then power it on and follow the TP‑Link setup procedure using the web interface or companion app. Choose the desired SSID and security settings; the device will extend existing networks across the 6 GHz, 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands. For wired devices, connect via the 10 Gbps or 1 Gbps Ethernet ports as needed. To integrate into a mesh system, enable EasyMesh on compatible routers and follow the mesh pairing steps.

Recommendations

For best performance, position the RE800BE midway between the router and areas with weak signal; avoid placing it near large metal objects or microwave ovens. Use the 6 GHz band for the fastest compatible devices, reserve the 5 GHz band for high‑bandwidth devices, and keep legacy or long‑range devices on 2.4 GHz. Enable WPA3 where supported to enhance wireless security.
