OPTEX HX-40DAM(C) buiten bewegingsmelder met PIR+MW dual-technologie, dierimmuniteit en anti-masking

Outdoor security demands a motion detector that can distinguish intruders from pets and resist tampering. The OPTEX HX-40DAM(C) combines passive infrared (PIR) and microwave (MW) technologies to deliver highly reliable detection with exceptional false alarm immunity.

Who is it for

This detector is ideal for perimeter protection at homes, businesses, and industrial sites where pets roam freely or where vandals might try to disable the sensor. It suits installers and end-users looking for a robust, weatherproof outdoor solution.

Main features

• Dual technology PIR + MW reduces false alarms by requiring both sensors to trigger.
• Pet immunity up to 20 kg prevents alarms from cats and dogs.
• Active IR anti-masking detects paint, spray, or covers applied to block the lens.
• SMDA logic (Super Multi-Dimension Analysis) improves detection accuracy.
• Adjustable 90° detection angle with 40 zones for comprehensive coverage.
• IP55 weatherproof enclosure for outdoor installation.
• Double conductive shielding protects against electromagnetic interference.

Tips

Mount the detector at the recommended height of 2.5 to 3.0 m and angle it downward to achieve the full 12 m range. For best performance, avoid placing it near moving objects such as tree branches or flag poles. Test the pet immunity feature by walking your pet through the protected area before finalising the installation.
