Patchkabel helos Cat.6 S/FTP dubbel afgeschermd halogeenvrij paars 20 m

helos Cat.6 S/FTP Double Shielded Halogen Free Purple 20 m is a 20‑meter network patch cable designed for Gigabit Ethernet and structured cabling environments. The cable uses S/FTP topology (overall braid with individually foil‑shielded twisted pairs) to provide enhanced protection against electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. Its halogen‑free jacket reduces harmful emissions in case of fire and the 20 m length covers longer runs between switches, patch panels and workstations while the purple color helps with visual identification in cable management.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction provides superior EMI and RFI immunity compared with unshielded alternatives, improving signal integrity in electrically noisy environments. Double shielding around each pair and over the whole cable reduces crosstalk and helps maintain Gigabit speeds over the full 20 m length. The halogen‑free outer jacket lowers the release of corrosive gases when exposed to heat or flame, making the cable more suitable for installations where fire safety and low smoke toxicity are priorities. The violet jacket color supports easy identification of specific runs in data centers and structured cabling installations.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet networks and PoE deployments
• Office, server room and data center patching
• Structured cabling where EMI protection is required
• Longer horizontal or inter-rack connections up to 20 m

Key specifications

• Category: Cat.6 performance for up to Gigabit Ethernet
• Topology: S/FTP — overall braided shield plus individually foil‑shielded pairs
• Length: 20 m
• Jacket: halogen‑free outer sheath
• Conductor: 4 twisted pairs, 24 AWG typical for Cat.6 cabling
• Color: purple for visual identification

How to use

Connect one RJ45 plug to the network switch, router or patch panel and the other RJ45 plug to the target device or patch panel port. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click and that both ends are connected to appropriate Cat.6 rated ports to preserve performance. Route the cable following standard cabling practices: avoid tight bends, maintain separation from high‑voltage power lines when possible, and secure the cable to cable trays or routing paths to prevent strain. Test link integrity with a network tester after installation to confirm continuity and performance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this S/FTP Cat.6 cable in environments with potential electromagnetic interference and pair it with shielded connectors and grounded patch panels. Maintain bend radius guidelines and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or high heat. Periodic inspection in high‑traffic or vibration‑prone areas will help ensure long‑term reliability.
