PC-behuizing Silverstone GD06B desktop zwart

The SilverStone Grandia GD06B is a compact desktop HTPC chassis that continues the Grandia lineage with a balance of storage capacity, cooling performance and living-room friendly aesthetics. With a depth of 340 mm and a black finish, the GD06B supports Micro ATX, Mini-DTX and Mini-ITX motherboards while offering multiple drive bays and front USB 3.0 connectivity for a versatile media or home server build.

Advantages

The GD06B uses a positive air pressure design to promote efficient cooling, quiet operation and reduced dust ingress. It accommodates up to four 3.5" drives plus a 2.5" drive or SSD, and includes two front USB 3.0 ports for fast external connectivity. Tool-friendly cable routing and support for expansion cards up to 280 mm (11 inches) enable neat builds despite the compact footprint.

Suitable for

• Home theater PC (HTPC) builds
• Compact media server or NAS with multiple hard drives
• Small-form-factor gaming or productivity systems using Micro ATX / Mini-ITX
• Living-room installations where a low-profile, elegant case is preferred

How to use

Install a compatible motherboard (Micro ATX, Mini-DTX, or Mini-ITX) and secure power and storage devices into the designated drive bays. Route power and data cables through the built-in cable routing channels to maintain airflow and ease assembly. Populate the front USB 3.0 headers on your motherboard to enable the two front Type-A ports. Fit expansion cards up to 280 mm into the PCI slot area. Place fans behind the removable filters and verify the positive air pressure orientation to optimise cooling and dust prevention.

Recommendations

For quieter operation and long-term dust control, use the included fan filters and maintain positive air pressure by installing intake fans with slightly higher combined airflow than exhaust. When using multiple mechanical hard drives, secure them in the 3.5" bays and consider a 2.5" SSD for the operating system to improve responsiveness.
