Plustek OpticBook A300 Plus flatbedscanner 600 x 600 DPI A3 zwart, zilver

The Plustek OpticBook A300 Plus is a flatbed book scanner with a large scanning area (304.8 x 431.8 mm) and CCD sensor, designed to digitize books and oversized documents quickly and with minimal spine shadow. It supports LED illumination powered by 24 VDC, consumes 24 W (1.25 A), and weighs 7.7 kg. The scanner outputs files in common formats and works with bundled and third‑party software for OCR and document management.

Advantages

Special book‑edge design and Plustek's SEE™ (Shadow Elimination Element) technology reduce spine shadow and text distortion so books can be scanned without removing pages from the binding. Fast scanning performance enables an A3 page scan in about 2.48 seconds and a 200‑page 8.5 x 11” book in approximately 20 minutes. The unit is compatible with TWAIN drivers and includes software support for automatic cropping, rotation and multiple output formats, while ABBYY FineReader Sprint creates searchable PDFs.

Suitable for

• Library back‑office book digitization
• Library patron self‑service scanning stations
• Digitizing bound documents that must remain intact
• Interlibrary loan and archive scanning tasks

Recommendations

For best results, ensure pages are as flat as possible near the spine and select the appropriate resolution and output format for the intended use. Use grayscale or mixed mode to reduce file sizes for large‑volume digitization. Verify TWAIN compatibility with your document management application if integration is required.
