Quantum - LTO-9 - 1U - LTO-9 tapestation half height single 1U rackmount 12Gb/s SAS zwart

The Quantum TC-L93CN-AR is an LTO tape drive and cartridge solution designed for high-capacity, long-term backup and secure offsite storage. With a compressed capacity of up to 45 TB on a single LTO-9 cartridge and support for high transfer rates, it helps organisations store and protect growing data sets while maintaining a compact footprint. The drive supports AES 256-bit encryption and optional WORM media for enhanced data integrity and protection against unauthorized modification.

Advantages

Quantum LTO tape technology delivers fast and reliable backup performance with high storage density and low operating cost. The TC-L93CN-AR provides strong data security through AES 256-bit encryption and an available WORM option. Its support for high burst and sustained transfer rates enables efficient backups and restores, while removable cartridges simplify offsite disaster recovery and long-term archiving.

Suitable for

• Offsite backup and disaster recovery
• Long-term archival storage
• Small to medium-sized enterprise backup sets
• Secure transport of sensitive data

How to use

Install the drive according to your host system and vendor installation instructions, insert an LTO-9 cartridge, and configure backup software to recognise the tape device. For encrypted backups, enable AES 256-bit encryption in the drive and in your backup application, and manage encryption keys according to your security policy. For WORM protection, use WORM-labelled cartridges and configure your backup application to write immutable backups as required.

Recommendations

Use LTO cartridges for routine offsite rotation and store at recommended environmental conditions. Regularly test restores to verify backup integrity, keep encryption keys secure and backed up separately, and select WORM media when immutability is required for compliance.
