Rothenberger 70246 kettingpijptang 8 inch (50 mm) | dubbele bek, zelfklemend, gesmeed staal

For pipework that demands a firm, controlled grip without damaging the surface, this Rothenberger chain pipe wrench stands apart from conventional fixed-jaw tools. Its self-clamping chain wraps around the pipe and tightens as you apply force, so the harder you pull, the stronger the hold. The 8-inch nominal size handles pipes up to 50 mm (2 inches), making it a dependable choice for plumbing, heating, and industrial maintenance where space is tight but torque requirements are high.

Highlights

• Self-clamping chain mechanism grips round, irregular, or slippery surfaces with minimal effort.
• Double jaw design with hardened steel teeth provides a secure bite without excessive marking.
• Forged steel body and hardened steel chain deliver long-term durability under daily use.
• Quick and secure chain adjustment lets you reposition the tool fast between different pipe sizes.
• Works in both right-hand and left-hand rotation, ideal for tightening and loosening.
• Red powder-coated finish resists corrosion and keeps the tool visible in a busy work area.

In daily use

The robust, non-slip handle gives you a confident grip even with oily or wet gloves. Because the chain conforms to the pipe circumference, you can apply high breakaway torque on rusted or over-tightened fittings without the wrench slipping. The overall length of approximately 450 mm provides enough leverage for most 2-inch pipe tasks while remaining compact enough to carry in a tool bag. Whether you are working on threaded steel pipe, copper, or plastic-coated lines, the chain distributes pressure evenly, reducing the risk of crushing thin-walled tubing.
