Schroef cimco 190042 — verzinkte metaalschroef voor spaanplaat, 45 mm lengte, 4,5 mm schroefdraaddiameter, 1 stuks

Cimco 190042 is a single galvanized metal screw designed specifically for fastening fibreboard and other wood-based panels. With a 45 mm overall length and a 4.5 mm thread diameter, this screw offers a corrosion-resistant zinc coating that helps protect the fastener in indoor environments and in applications where occasional moisture exposure may occur. Supplied as one piece, the screw is suitable for small repairs, assembly tasks and furniture joinery that require a reliable mechanical connection.

Advantages

The galvanized finish provides enhanced corrosion resistance compared with untreated steel, extending service life in typical indoor and sheltered outdoor uses. The 4.5 mm thread diameter balances holding strength and ease of driving into fibreboard materials, while the 45 mm length gives adequate penetration for secure joints without excessive protrusion. Supplied as a single unit, this item is convenient for one-off repairs or when a specific screw size is required for matching existing fasteners.

How to use

Select an appropriate pilot hole size for the 4.5 mm thread diameter if working with brittle or laminated fibreboard to reduce splitting. Position the screw at the intended fastening point and drive it with a compatible screwdriver or powered driver until the head is flush or slightly countersunk depending on the required finish. Avoid over-tightening to prevent stripping the substrate or damaging the screw’s coating.

Recommendations

For best results, pre-drill a pilot hole in dense or brittle panels and use moderate driving speed; when used indoors or in sheltered conditions the galvanized coating provides suitable protection, but for prolonged outdoor exposure consider a fastener with enhanced corrosion resistance.
