Netwerkkabel S/CONN 08-64071 blauw 10 m Cat6 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 08-64071 Blue 10 m Cat6 S/FTP is a 10-metre Ethernet cable designed for stable, high-speed data transmission in wired networks. It conforms to Cat6 performance parameters and uses S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. The cable terminates in RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts for consistent signal transfer and corrosion resistance. Its blue jacket provides clear identification in multi-cable installations.

Advantages

S/FTP construction combines an overall braided screen with individually foil-shielded pairs to provide improved protection against external noise and pair-to-pair interference compared with unshielded cables. Cat6 performance supports higher bandwidth and better signal integrity for typical Gigabit Ethernet and some 10 Gigabit Ethernet applications over shorter distances. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts offer reliable conductivity and reduced contact resistance, while the 10 m length balances reach and reduced signal loss for typical home, office, or server-room layouts.

Suitable for

• Wired home networks and office LANs
• Connecting switches, routers, patch panels and network devices
• High-bandwidth applications such as video streaming, VoIP and online gaming
• Environments with moderate electromagnetic interference that require shielded cabling

Key specifications

• Length: 10 metres
• Category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid plus individually shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contacts: Gold-plated
• Cable color: Blue

How to use

Route the cable between network devices, avoiding sharp bends and tight loops to preserve internal pair geometry. Insert each RJ-45 connector fully into the corresponding port until it clicks to ensure a secure connection. For best performance, keep the cable away from heavy power lines and large sources of electromagnetic interference. When terminating into patch panels or keystone jacks, use compatible shielded connectors and ensure proper grounding of the shield to maintain the effectiveness of the S/FTP construction.

For optimum signal quality, avoid running this Cat6 S/FTP cable in parallel with unshielded power cables for long distances; maintain gentle bend radii and terminate shields properly to reduce noise and preserve throughput in high-density network setups.
