SSD-behuizing GRAUGEAR G-M201-AC-10G

The GRAUGEAR G-M201-AC-10G is a grey SSD enclosure designed for one M.2 PCIe storage drive. It supports PCI Express 3.0 interface M.2 modules and connects to host devices via a USB Type-C port with a USB 3.2 Gen 2 (3.1 Gen 2) link, allowing theoretical data transfer rates up to 10 Gbit/s. Constructed from plastic with aluminium elements, the enclosure combines lightweight handling with improved thermal dissipation for compact external storage and fast file access.

Advantages

The enclosure supports a single M.2 PCIe drive, enabling quick conversion of an internal NVMe module into an external SSD with up to 10 Gbit/s throughput over USB Type-C. Its mixed plastic and aluminium construction keeps weight low while helping to dissipate heat from high-performance drives. The grey finish provides a neutral, unobtrusive appearance that fits in professional and home setups. The compact form factor and standard USB Type-C interface simplify connectivity to modern laptops and desktops without additional adapters.

Suitable for

• Expanding portable storage with an M.2 PCIe (NVMe) module
• Fast file transfer and backup between computers
• Using internal M.2 drives as external media for editing or system recovery
• Mobile access to large media libraries and project files

Key specifications

• Form factor: supports one M.2 storage drive
• Supported interface: PCI Express 3.0 (M.2)
• External connection: USB Type-C, USB 3.2 Gen 2 (3.1 Gen 2)
• Maximum transfer rate: up to 10 Gbit/s (theoretical)
• Material: plastic with aluminium components for heat dissipation
• Colour: grey
• Weight: 0.133 kg

How to use

Open the enclosure following the manufacturer's access method, insert a compatible M.2 PCIe module into the M.2 slot and secure it with the provided screw or fastening mechanism. Close the enclosure and connect it to a host device using a USB Type-C cable that supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 speeds. The host system should detect the drive as an external storage device; format the drive if required by your operating system before first use. For best performance, connect to a USB 3.2 Gen 2 capable port on the host and ensure the drive's firmware and host drivers are up to date.

Recommendations

Use the enclosure with M.2 PCIe (NVMe) drives for optimal throughput and ensure the host device supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 to approach the 10 Gbit/s transfer rate. Avoid prolonged high-load operation without adequate ventilation; aluminium parts aid cooling but may not replace active cooling for sustained heavy workloads. Handle the internal M.2 drive with anti-static precautions during installation.
