SSD-behuizing GRAUGEAR G-M202-AC-10G zwart M.2

The GRAUGEAR G-M202-AC-10G Black M.2 SSD enclosure is a compact external housing designed to convert a single M.2 PCIe NVMe module into a portable storage device. Constructed from a combination of plastic and aluminium, the enclosure provides lightweight protection while supporting high-speed data transfer over USB Type-C at up to 10 Gbit/s. Its black finish and slim profile make it suitable for transport or desktop use when additional, fast external storage is required.

Advantages

The enclosure supports one M.2 drive with a PCI Express 3.0 interface, enabling NVMe performance through a USB 3.2 Gen 2 (3.1 Gen 2) connection. The metal elements help dissipate heat while the plastic components keep overall weight low (approximately 0.062 kg). USB Type-C connectivity ensures reversible plug orientation and broad compatibility with modern laptops, desktops and some mobile devices. The compact form factor simplifies carrying and quick deployment of additional storage.

Suitable for

• Expanding laptop or desktop storage with an M.2 NVMe drive
• Fast external backups and file transfers between computers
• On-the-go media access and portable project libraries
• System migration and cloning to a new drive

How to use

Open the enclosure according to the included instructions, insert a compatible M.2 PCIe drive into the M.2 slot and secure it with the provided screw or mounting mechanism. Close the enclosure and connect it to a host device using the USB Type-C cable. The host operating system should detect the drive as an external NVMe storage device; format or partition the drive as required for first use. For safe removal, use the operating system’s eject or unmount function before disconnecting the cable.

Recommendations

Use a heat-conductive pad or confirm the enclosure’s internal contact to improve thermal transfer during sustained high-load operations. Ensure the M.2 module is compatible with PCIe NVMe standards before installation. For maximum throughput, connect to a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port on the host device and use quality Type-C cables rated for 10 Gbit/s. Periodically check mounting screws for tightness and avoid exposing the enclosure to liquids or extreme temperatures.
