The Bahco 5124-JS-H pruning saw features a 24 cm stainless steel blade designed for efficient cutting of branches and small logs. The saw combines a compact blade length with a lightweight construction of 280 g, offering controlled handling for pruning, trimming and general garden maintenance. Its black and orange handle provides a clear visual contrast and ergonomic grip, while the stainless steel blade resists corrosion and maintains cutting performance during regular outdoor use.

Advantages

The 24 cm stainless steel blade delivers clean, accurate cuts on green and dry wood while the low overall weight reduces user fatigue during extended tasks. The ergonomic handle shape improves grip and control for one-handed operation, and the corrosion-resistant blade prolongs service life when used in outdoor environments. The saw’s compact profile makes it easier to store and transport compared with larger pruning tools.

Suitable for

• Pruning shrubs, small trees and rose bushes
• Cutting branches for routine garden maintenance
• Preparing small logs and kindling for outdoor projects
• Landscaping tasks where a portable hand saw is needed

Key specifications

• Blade material: stainless steel
• Blade length: 24 cm
• Weight: approximately 280 g
• Handle: ergonomic black and orange design for improved grip
• Application: pruning and cutting wood

How to use

Grip the handle firmly with your dominant hand and position the saw blade on the branch at the desired cutting point. Use steady, controlled strokes and allow the teeth to do the cutting; avoid applying excessive downward force which can bind the blade. For thicker branches, start with a shallow notch on the underside to prevent bark tear, then complete the cut from above. After use, wipe the blade clean and store the saw in a dry place to maintain its condition.

Recommendations

Use personal protective equipment such as gloves and eye protection when cutting. For best results, use the pruning saw on branches within the blade’s practical cutting range and perform regular blade cleaning and light oiling to reduce corrosion and maintain cutting performance.
