Tangen Stanley FATMAX 4-delig VDE 4-84-489

The Stanley FATMAX 4 piece VDE pliers set provides four insulated hand tools designed specifically for electrical work. Each tool in the set measures 180 mm in width and is manufactured to deliver reliable mechanical performance and electrical insulation for tasks where protection against live circuits is required. The set combines different plier types to cover cutting, gripping and twisting operations commonly encountered in installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems.

Advantages

This Stanley FATMAX VDE set offers insulated handles rated for electrical safety standards, hardened jaws for long-lasting cutting and gripping, and ergonomic grips that improve control during precise operations. The four-piece configuration gives a compact selection of complementary tools that reduce the need to switch between standalone items. Construction quality and fit of the components ensure consistent performance and reduced wear under frequent professional use.

Suitable for

• Electrical installation and wiring
• Maintenance and repair of domestic and commercial electrical systems
• Cutting and stripping insulated wires
• Gripping, bending and twisting small conductors

Key specifications

• Set composition: four insulated pliers for electrical work
• Insulation: VDE-rated handles for protection against live circuits
• Tool length/width: 180 mm (each tool width specified in summary)
• Materials: hardened steel jaws with ergonomic insulated grips
• Applications: cutting, gripping, bending and manipulating wires and small components

How to use

Select the appropriate plier from the set for the required task — cutting, gripping or bending. Ensure the insulation is intact and free of damage before use. For cutting, position the conductor close to the pivot and apply steady force through the handles. For gripping or twisting, use the serrated jaws to secure the object and apply controlled movement to avoid slippage. When working near live circuits, follow safe working distances and use the insulated handles to reduce the risk of electrical shock.

Recommendations

Inspect the tools before each use for signs of wear or damage to the insulation. Do not use the pliers if the insulation is compromised. Clean and lubricate moving joints periodically and store the set in a dry place away from chemicals to preserve insulation properties and metal surfaces.
