Tefal Smart Protect Plus FV6872 stoomstrijkijzer Durilium Airglide-strijkzool 2800 W blauw

The Tefal Smart Protect Plus FV6872 is a dry and steam iron combining 2800 W power with a Durilium Airglide soleplate designed for smooth, consistent gliding across fabrics. Compact dimensions (135 mm width, 310 mm depth, 160 mm height) and a 2 m cord provide practical handling and reach for household ironing tasks. This model includes a vertical steam function and a 0.27 L water tank, offering a balance between lightweight handling and effective steam performance.

Advantages

The high 2800 W power enables rapid heat-up and sustained temperature for continuous ironing. The Durilium Airglide soleplate is designed to reduce friction and improve maneuverability over garments, while the compact form factor and 1.295 kg weight make the iron manageable for extended use. Integrated vertical steam function allows refreshing hanging garments and textiles without an ironing board. A modest water tank capacity provides enough steam for shorter sessions and quick touch-ups.

Suitable for

• Everyday household ironing of shirts, trousers and dresses
• Quick touch-ups and last-minute steaming of hanging garments
• Small to medium-sized laundry sessions where compact storage is preferred
• Users who need an iron with good glide and easy handling

How to use

Fill the water tank up to the indicated level before switching the iron on when using steam mode. Select the appropriate temperature or fabric setting for the garment to avoid damage; allow the iron to reach operating temperature indicated by the appliance. For steam use, hold the iron upright to apply vertical steam or glide the soleplate smoothly along the fabric for horizontal steaming and ironing. Always empty the water tank after use if the iron will be stored for an extended period.

Recommendations

Use distilled or soft water where local water hardness is high to reduce mineral buildup. Test delicate fabrics on an inconspicuous area and use a lower temperature setting if needed. Maintain the soleplate by wiping when cool and following the manufacturer's care instructions to preserve glide performance.
