TENDA A18 PRO AC1200 Dual-Band draadloze range extender repeater

TENDA A18 PRO AC1200 Dual-Band Repeater is a wireless range extender and access point engineered to expand existing Wi‑Fi coverage in homes and small offices. It supports dual-band operation on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz with combined AC1200-class throughput, allowing improved signal reach into dead zones and more stable connections for video streaming, online work and general internet use. The device also offers a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices and can be set up quickly using a web interface or WPS for basic configurations.

Advantages

The A18 PRO extends wireless coverage without replacing the primary router, providing dual-band connections to reduce congestion and improve overall throughput. Its compact design is suitable for wall outlet installation, and the integrated Ethernet port enables a hybrid wired/wireless setup for devices that require a stable connection. Setup options include WPS and a simple web-based configuration, making deployment straightforward for users with limited networking experience.

Suitable for

• Eliminating Wi‑Fi dead zones in multi-room apartments and houses
• Improving wireless performance for streaming HD video and video calls
• Extending coverage for small office networks and home offices
• Providing wired network access to devices via Ethernet when Wi‑Fi is weak

Key specifications

• Wireless standard: Dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz (AC1200 class)
• Maximum combined throughput: up to AC1200 speeds across both bands
• Ethernet: Single Gigabit Ethernet port for wired device connection
• Modes: Wireless range extender and access point modes supported
• Security: Standard wireless security protocols supported (WPA/WPA2)
• Installation: Wall-mountable plug-in design with WPS and web-based setup

How to use

Plug the TENDA A18 PRO into a power outlet located between your main router and the area with weak Wi‑Fi signal. Use the WPS button on the router and the extender for quick automatic pairing, or connect to the extender’s temporary network and open the web-based setup page to select the existing SSID and enter the wireless password. If needed, switch to access point mode by connecting a network cable from your router to the extender’s Ethernet port and configuring the device via the web interface. After setup, place the extender where it receives a stable signal from the router while providing enhanced coverage to the target area.

Recommendations

Position the extender at a midpoint between your router and the dead zone, avoid placing it behind large metal objects or inside cabinets, and ensure firmware is updated via the web interface to maintain security and compatibility. Use the 5 GHz band for high-bandwidth tasks like HD streaming and the 2.4 GHz band for longer-range coverage.
