Wi-Fi-extender D-Link AX3000 Mesh E30/E dualband – AX3000, mesh-ondersteuning, dualband

The D-Link Wi‑Fi Extender AX3000 Mesh E30/E Dual Band is a wireless range extender designed to expand coverage and improve signal quality in homes and small offices. It supports dual‑band operation across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz and is compatible with mesh networking to provide seamless roaming and consistent performance across multiple nodes. With AX3000 class throughput, the extender helps reduce dead zones and maintain stable connections for streaming, gaming and remote work devices.

Advantages

The extender delivers combined AX3000 performance across both frequency bands, offering increased throughput and lower latency compared with older Wi‑Fi standards. Mesh support enables automatic network optimisation and smooth handover between the extender and other compatible nodes, reducing interruptions when moving around the coverage area. Compact design and simple setup make it suitable for placement in hallways, living rooms or small office spaces while preserving existing router settings and SSID if configured for mesh operation.

Key specifications

• Wi‑Fi standard: Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) compatible performance class
• Combined data rate class: AX3000 (aggregate across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz)
• Frequency bands: Dual‑band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz
• Mesh support: compatible with mesh-capable routers and extenders for unified SSID and roaming
• Ethernet: Gigabit Ethernet port for wired device connection (if present on model)
• Security: WPA3/WPA2 security protocols supported
• Form factor: compact wall‑plug or desktop design for flexible placement

How to use

Plug the extender into a power outlet within range of your existing Wi‑Fi router, then follow the D‑Link setup procedure via the mobile app or web interface to connect it to your network. Choose an installation location roughly halfway between the router and the area with weak signal for optimal coverage. If using mesh mode, follow the prompts to add the extender to the existing mesh network so that SSID and roaming behaviour are consistent across nodes. Use the web interface or app to review status, update firmware, and adjust security settings.

Recommendations

Place the extender at an intermediate location with good line‑of‑sight to the primary router while avoiding dense obstructions and large metal objects. For best performance, connect high‑bandwidth devices to the 5 GHz band and enable WPA3 security if supported by client devices. Regularly check for firmware updates and ensure mesh and router firmware are on compatible versions to maintain seamless roaming and optimal throughput.
