TP-Link InSight S245 dome IP-beveiligingscamera buiten 2688 x 1520 pixels plafondmontage

The TP-Link InSight S245 Dome IP security camera offers 2688 x 1520 resolution in a compact dome housing designed for outdoor ceiling mounting. With a 110° horizontal and 58.1° vertical field of view, a CMOS sensor and up to 64 m detection distance, the camera provides wide-area surveillance and clearer identification of people and vehicles. The device supports wired Ethernet connectivity, video motion detection and comes in a white finish suitable for many outdoor installations.

Advantages

People & Vehicle Analytics enables fast post-event search and filtering by attributes, while Human & Vehicle Classification reduces false alerts by distinguishing people and vehicles from other objects. Smart video enhancement functions — including True WDR for balanced exposure, Smart IR for improved low-light visibility, 3D DNR for noise reduction and White Balance for accurate colors — help maintain clear, usable footage. Efficient H.265+ compression lowers bandwidth and storage needs compared with H.264 and H.265.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Outdoor ceiling surveillance of parking lots and building perimeters
• Monitoring entrances and access points for people and vehicles
• Perimeter detection with long-range visibility up to 64 m
• Recordings where reduced bandwidth and storage are important

How to use

Mount the dome camera on a suitable outdoor ceiling or soffit using appropriate hardware and weatherproofing. Connect the camera to a PoE-enabled Ethernet switch or injector for power and network access, then configure the device through the TP-Link InSight interface or compatible NVR software. Adjust the lens orientation to cover the required area, set motion detection zones if supported, and enable analytics features such as People & Vehicle Analytics and Human & Vehicle Classification for more accurate event notifications.

Recommendations

For best results, install the camera at a height and angle that provide unobstructed views of entrances, driveways or perimeters; avoid aiming directly at strong light sources. Enable True WDR and Smart IR in mixed-light environments, and choose H.265+ compression when storage or bandwidth is limited.
