TP-Link Omada EAP245 (5-pack) draadloos access point 1750 Mbit/s wit Power over Ethernet (PoE)

The TP-Link Omada EAP245 is a dual-band wireless access point delivering up to 1750 Mbps combined throughput across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. Equipped with enterprise-class QCA chipsets, a high-power amplifier and a professional antenna array, it supports 802.11ac Wave 2 MU-MIMO for improved multi-client performance. The EAP245 supports Power over Ethernet (802.3af) and passive PoE, and can be mounted on a wall or ceiling for flexible deployment. Centralized cloud management via Omada Controller and a companion mobile app allow remote configuration and monitoring.

Advantages

The access point provides high-speed, long-range Wi-Fi with optimized multi-user throughput thanks to MU-MIMO and Wave 2 technology. Seamless roaming using 802.11k/v enables automatic client handoffs between access points for uninterrupted VoIP and video sessions. Secure guest access is available through a captive portal with optional Facebook W-Fi or SMS authentication. Dual PoE options simplify installation and the device is compatible with Omada Cloud Controller and Omada Software Controller for centralized, remote management.

Suitable for

• Small and medium-sized offices requiring reliable dual-band Wi‑Fi
• Cafés, retail stores and public venues offering guest access with captive portal
• Homes and multiroom apartments needing long-range wireless coverage
• Environments that use VoIP and video conferencing and need seamless roaming

How to use

Mount the EAP245 on a wall or ceiling using the included mounting kit and connect it to your network switch or PoE injector. Power the device via 802.3af PoE or the supplied passive PoE adapter. Use the Omada Software Controller, OC200 hardware controller or the cloud controller service to adopt the AP into your Omada network, configure SSIDs, security (WPA2) and guest portal settings. The Omada mobile app can guide you through initial setup and ongoing monitoring from a smartphone or tablet.

Recommendations

Place the access point centrally and at ceiling height where possible to maximize coverage. For multi‑AP deployments enable 802.11k/v roaming and plan channel allocation to reduce co‑channel interference. Use PoE from a compatible switch to simplify cabling and ensure stable power delivery.
