Ubiquiti LiteBeam-M5 23dBi 5GHz airMAX draadloze bridge

Point-to-point links over several kilometers demand reliable, high-gain equipment. The Ubiquiti LiteBeam-M5 23dBi is a compact yet powerful 5 GHz wireless bridge built for such tasks. It pairs a directional dish antenna with airMAX TDMA technology to deliver stable, low-latency connectivity for video surveillance, remote gateways, or building-to-building links. The device comes with a dedicated pole-mount kit, so installation on a mast or wall is straightforward. Its UV-stabilized plastic housing withstands harsh weather, and the integrated airOS interface simplifies alignment and monitoring. With a 23 dBi antenna and a 10° beamwidth, it focuses the signal precisely, reducing interference and extending range beyond 30 km in ideal conditions.

Why choose it

The LiteBeam-M5 strikes an excellent balance between performance and cost. Its high-gain antenna and narrow beamwidth allow long, stable links without the complexity of larger dishes. Passive PoE simplifies cabling—only one Ethernet cable is needed for both data and power. The included mounting kit and intuitive airOS software make alignment quick, even for installers with limited experience. Built for outdoor use, it resists UV radiation, rain, and high winds, ensuring years of dependable service.

Ideal use cases

• Connecting remote buildings on a campus or farm
• Backhaul for IP security cameras in isolated areas
• Extending network access to a detached garage or workshop
• Point-to-point links for temporary events or construction sites
• Wireless ISP customer premises equipment (CPE)

Good to know

The device operates in the 5 GHz band, which is less congested than 2.4 GHz and offers more non-overlapping channels. For best results, ensure a clear line of sight between the two endpoints. The airOS interface provides real-time link statistics, spectrum analysis, and antenna alignment tools. A 24V, 0.3A PoE adapter is included in the box. The bridge is compatible with other Ubiquiti airMAX devices, allowing flexible network design.
