Ubiquiti UVC-G6-180-W UniFi Protect G6 180 16MP dual-sensor panoramische PoE+-camera

The Ubiquiti UVC-G6-180-W is a UniFi Protect G6 180 panoramic security camera that stitches two 1/1.8" 8MP CMOS sensors into a seamless 16MP (7680 x 2160) ultra-wide image at up to 20 FPS. With a 180° horizontal field of view and dual 4 mm fixed lenses, a single unit covers an entire wall, courtyard or storefront that would normally need two or three conventional cameras, and the on-device Multi-TOPS AI engine adds real-time face recognition, licence-plate reading and smart detection of people, vehicles and animals.

Advantages

One camera replaces multiple fixed-lens units, cutting cabling, mounting points and licensing while removing the blind spots between separate fields of view. PoE+ delivers power and data over a single Ethernet run, so installation is fast and clean. The rugged IP66 and IK04 housing withstands rain, dust and physical knocks across a -20 to 50°C operating range, while built-in IR illumination with an IR cut filter keeps subjects identifiable up to 20 m in complete darkness and preserves accurate colour by day. A microSD slot adds local recording redundancy, and the camera integrates natively with UniFi Protect for unified, licence-free management.

Suitable for

• Wide forecourts, car parks, loading bays and building perimeters that demand 180° coverage from a single point
• Retail storefronts, lobbies and reception areas where panoramic situational awareness matters
• Schools, warehouses and campuses standardised on the Ubiquiti UniFi Protect ecosystem
• Sites needing on-device licence-plate and face recognition without recurring cloud fees
• Indoor and outdoor installations exposed to weather, dust and tampering

How to use

Mount the camera on a wall or ceiling overlooking the area to be monitored and connect it to a PoE+ switch or injector with a single Ethernet cable for both power and data. Adopt the device in your UniFi Protect console (on a UNVR, Cloud Key or UniFi OS host), then frame the 180° view, set recording schedules and enable the AI detections you need. Optionally insert a microSD card for on-camera storage redundancy in case of network interruption.

Recommendations

For best results, power the camera from a genuine PoE+ (802.3at) source to guarantee stable operation, and position it 2.5 to 4 m high for an optimal panoramic sweep with minimal distortion. Keep the firmware current through UniFi Protect to receive the latest AI and security improvements, and pair it with a UNVR or sufficiently sized UniFi OS host so continuous 16MP recording has the storage and bandwidth headroom it needs.
