Vivolink VLCPARS232/25M seriële kabel zwart RS-232

The Vivolink VLCPARS232/25M is a 25-meter RS-232 serial cable in black designed for reliable long-distance serial data transmission. It combines a D-Sub 9 female connector with a Phoenix-style connector and a highly flexible jacket for easier routing. Connectors are gold-plated to improve contact quality and resist corrosion, making this cable suitable for professional serial connections in industrial, AV and control applications.

Advantages

This RS-232 cable offers extended reach with a 25 m length while maintaining signal integrity. The highly flexible jacket simplifies installation in confined or complex cable runs. Gold-plated connectors provide improved conductivity and reduced oxidation. The D-Sub 9 female to Phoenix connector configuration ensures compatibility with a wide range of serial devices and terminal blocks.

Suitable for

• Connecting serial devices such as modems, PLCs, and routers over long distances
• AV equipment and control systems requiring RS-232 interfaces
• Industrial and automation installations with Phoenix terminal connections

How to use

Route the cable between the RS-232 port and the Phoenix terminal block, ensuring connectors are fully seated and secure. For D-Sub connections, align the 9-pin female housing with the male port and tighten any fastening screws or thumbscrews if present. For the Phoenix connector, insert and secure individual wires according to the terminal block labeling or wiring diagram. Avoid sharp bends and excessive tension along the cable run to preserve signal quality.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid running the RS-232 cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines and maintain reasonable separation from sources of electromagnetic interference. Use strain relief at connection points and inspect gold-plated contacts periodically for contamination.
