Netwerkkabel Goobay 95540 zwart 1,5 m Cat5e F/UTP

The Goobay 95540 networking cable is a 1.5 m Cat5e F/UTP cable designed for wired Ethernet connections. It combines foil shielding with twisted-pair construction to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain stable data transmission. The cable is fitted with RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts for reliable signal transfer and corrosion resistance. Its black outer sheath provides a discreet, professional appearance suitable for home or office installations.

Advantages

Foil shielding around the twisted pairs helps lower interference from nearby electrical devices and cabling, improving signal integrity. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts enhance contact reliability and reduce contact resistance over time. The Cat5e specification supports up to 1000 Mbit/s data rates for common Ethernet applications, while quality inner conductors and robust sheathing provide durability and consistent performance in typical networking environments.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Connecting desktop PCs, laptops, routers, and switches in home networks
• Office workstations and small business network links
• Wired connections for media players, smart TVs and gaming consoles
• Temporary or permanent patch cabling in structured cabling setups

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat5e
• Shielding type: F/UTP (foil shield around all pairs)
• Length: 1.5 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Maximum supported data rate: up to 1000 Mbit/s
• Outer sheath color: black

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the Ethernet port of your device and the other plug to a router, switch or wall outlet. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to establish a secure connection. For best performance, avoid sharp bends and prolonged compression of the cable; route it along cable channels or behind furniture as needed. Check network settings on connected devices to confirm link speed and connection status.

Recommendations

Use the cable for standard Gigabit Ethernet links in environments where foil shielding and a reliable RJ-45 interface are appropriate. Avoid installing the cable alongside strong power lines or sources of severe electromagnetic interference to maintain optimal signal quality.
