WiFi USB-adapter Comfast CF-972AX dualband 2.4GHz/5GHz tot 5374Mbps

The Comfast CF-972AX is a USB WiFi adapter that adds Tri‑Band wireless connectivity to desktop or laptop computers via a USB 3.0 connector. Supporting 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands and Wi‑Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax), the adapter delivers theoretical combined throughput up to 5374 Mbps, external 180° rotating antennas for improved reception, and a compact dust‑resistant design with enhanced heat dissipation.

Advantages

The adapter uses USB 3.0 for higher data transfer rates and Plug & Play operation without requiring drivers on supported systems. Wi‑Fi 6 technologies including MU‑MIMO and OFDMA increase network efficiency for multi‑device use, while WPA/WPA2/WPA3 encryption ensures secure connections. The unit supports AP mode to share an existing internet connection and can improve laptop signal reception when internal WiFi is weak or damaged.

Suitable for

• Adding wireless connectivity to desktops or older laptops
• High‑definition video streaming and online gaming on multiple devices
• Home or small office networks requiring Tri‑Band Wi‑Fi 6 performance
• Using AP mode to share an internet connection

How to use

Plug the Comfast CF-972AX into a free USB 3.0 port on your desktop or laptop; USB 3.0 is recommended for maximum performance, though USB 2.0 ports are supported with lower throughput. On supported Windows systems the adapter should operate in Plug & Play mode without additional drivers. Position the rotating antennas for optimal reception and, if needed, enable AP mode in the adapter settings to share an internet connection with other devices.

Recommendations

For best performance place the adapter where it has clear line of sight to the router, avoid dense obstacles and metal enclosures, and use a USB 3.0 port. Ensure your router supports Wi‑Fi 6 and the 6 GHz band to fully utilize Tri‑Band speeds.
