WLAN Bluetooth USB-adapter Comfast CF-813B 650 Mbit/s dualband 2,4 GHz/5 GHz

Comfast CF-813B is a compact USB adapter that adds dual-band WiFi (2.4GHz / 5GHz) and Bluetooth 4.2 to a PC or laptop. With a combined throughput up to 650Mbps, the adapter is designed to upgrade older machines or replace faulty internal wireless modules and provides a simple way to enable wireless LAN and Bluetooth peripherals over a USB 2.0 port.

Advantages

The adapter features a mini, low-profile design that leaves only 14 mm exposed from the USB port and a built-in 2 dBi antenna. It supports AP (Access Point) mode to share an internet connection with other devices and improves signal reception when an internal card performs poorly or is damaged. The device supports common wireless encryption standards and multiple IEEE 802.11 protocols for compatibility with a wide range of networks and routers.

Suitable for

• Adding WiFi and Bluetooth to desktops or laptops without working wireless modules
• Upgrading older computers to dual-band WiFi for better performance
• Sharing an internet connection via AP mode to phones or tablets
• Everyday tasks such as web browsing, streaming and file transfers

How to use

Insert the CF-813B into an available USB 2.0 port. Install the supplied driver from the CD or download the latest driver from the manufacturer if needed. After driver installation, configure the wireless network settings in the operating system to connect to a 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz network, or enable AP mode to share a connection. Pair Bluetooth devices through the system Bluetooth settings once the Bluetooth driver is installed.

Recommendations

For best performance, place the adapter in a USB port with clear line of sight to the router and avoid USB 3.0 ports that may cause interference. Use the 5 GHz band for higher throughput at closer range and 2.4 GHz for better range and compatibility. Verify OS compatibility and download updated drivers for improved stability.
