Xiaomi Outdoor Camera-basisstation – wit (BHR8618GL)

For Xiaomi outdoor cameras that need a local hub, the BHR8618GL base station offers a dedicated connection point with wired Ethernet and microSD storage, reducing reliance on cloud-only setups. Unlike generic Wi-Fi extenders, this unit is built specifically for Xiaomi's outdoor camera line, supporting up to four cameras simultaneously and providing a stable 2.4GHz wireless link alongside a physical RJ45 port for network integration.

Highlights

• Supports up to 4 Xiaomi outdoor cameras (e.g., AW200, BW400 Pro) for centralized management.
• Dual connectivity: Wi-Fi 2.4GHz (802.11 b/g/n) and 1x RJ45 Ethernet port.
• Local storage via microSD card slot, expandable up to 256GB, plus optional Xiaomi Home cloud subscription.
• Compact desktop design in white ABS plastic with status LED indicator.
• Secure WPA/WPA2 encryption for camera data transmission.

In daily use

Place the base station on a desk or shelf near your router, connect it via Ethernet or Wi-Fi, and pair your outdoor cameras through the Xiaomi Home app. The base station then acts as the bridge, receiving video streams and storing recordings locally on a microSD card if inserted. You can view live feeds, review footage, and manage settings from the app, with the option to back up to the cloud for off-site redundancy. The status LED provides at-a-glance confirmation of power and connectivity.
