Grillpan Staub 40511-683-0 rechthoekig zwart 348x280x43 mm

The Staub 40511-683-0 Rectangular Grill Pan in black is a solid cookware piece designed for grilling meats, fish and vegetables on stovetops or in ovens. With external dimensions of 348 x 280 x 43 mm, this cast grill pan provides a flat grilling surface with raised ridges that help create char marks and allow fats to drain away. The durable black finish and heavy construction aim to deliver steady, even heat distribution for consistent grilling results.

Advantages

This Staub rectangular grill pan offers an even heating surface and high thermal mass, which helps maintain temperature when food is added. The ridged surface produces defined grill marks and reduces direct contact with rendered fat. Its solid construction and finish are intended for regular use on a variety of heat sources, and the rectangular shape gives a larger usable cooking area compared with many round pans of similar footprint.

Suitable for

When it may not be suitable

This grill pan is not the best choice for tasks that require a fully flat, non-ridged surface such as making crepes or delicate pancakes. Because of its weight and size, it may be less convenient for everyday quick-cooking tasks or for very small cooktops where a compact pan is preferred.

Key specifications

How to use

Preheat the grill pan on medium to medium-high heat to allow the mass of the pan to reach cooking temperature evenly. Lightly oil the food or the ridged surface to reduce sticking, then place food in a single layer to achieve even searing and grill marks. Avoid abrupt temperature changes; allow the pan to cool slightly before rinsing. Follow manufacturer care instructions for cleaning and maintenance to preserve the finish.

What to consider before purchase

Recommendations

For best results, preheat the pan thoroughly, use moderate oiling to prevent sticking, avoid overcrowding, and dry the pan properly after washing to maintain the finish and performance over time.
