ACT blauw 10 meter LSZH U/FTP CAT6A datacenter slimline patchkabel met rastnasen RJ45-stekkers

ACT Blue 10 meter LSZH U/FTP CAT6A datacenter slimline patch cable with snagless RJ45 connectors is a reduced-diameter (3.8 mm) CAT6A U/FTP cable designed for data center and network cabinet installations. The slimline construction improves rack airflow and reduces bending radius while maintaining CAT6A performance for high-speed data transmission. The cable uses LSZH jacket material to limit smoke emission in confined areas and features gold-plated contacts on RJ45 connectors.

Advantages

The slim 3.8 mm diameter saves space in dense cable bundles and server racks compared to standard 5.9 mm CAT6A patch cords, improving airflow and cooling. U/FTP construction provides individual pair shielding to reduce crosstalk. Snagless RJ45 connectors with gold-plated contacts ensure reliable mating and corrosion resistance. LSZH jacket reduces smoke and toxic emissions in case of fire. The 10 m length offers flexibility for typical rack-to-rack or cabinet connections.

How to use

Route the slimline CAT6A U/FTP cable between network devices or patch panels, avoiding sharp bends and maintaining manufacturer-recommended bending radius. Plug the RJ45 connectors firmly into corresponding ports until the latch clicks. For best performance, keep cable runs away from strong EMI sources and follow standard cable management practices in racks and cabinets.

Recommendations

ACT advises limiting PoE cable bundles to a maximum of 24 slimline cables to prevent excessive temperature rise; ANSI TSB-184-A recommends that the center cable temperature increase remains below 15 °C above ambient. Note that very thin conductors (up to 32 AWG) increase attenuation at higher frequencies, which can affect margin on long or high-frequency links.
