ACT zwart 2 meter LSZH U/FTP CAT6A datacenter slimline patchkabel snagless met RJ45-stekkers

The ACT Black 2 meter LSZH U/FTP CAT6A patch cable is a slimline datacenter Ethernet cable designed for high-speed connections in rack and cabinet environments. With a 2 m length, snagless RJ45 connectors and gold-plated contacts, it provides reliable signal transmission while occupying less space than standard CAT6A cords thanks to its reduced 3.8 mm diameter and improved bending radius.

Advantages

This U/FTP CAT6A slimline cable offers a smaller diameter that improves airflow in cabinets and simplifies cable routing in dense installations. The U/FTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference and the gold-plated contacts ensure consistent conductivity. LSZH jacket material minimizes smoke and toxic emissions in case of fire. Compared with regular 24 AWG patch cords the 32 AWG construction increases attenuation at higher frequencies, which is why ACT recommends using it with shorter permanent link lengths to accommodate higher loss.

Suitable for

• Data center patching where space and airflow are critical
• High-density rack installations and horizontal cabling
• Short to medium permanent link lengths requiring CAT6A performance
• Environments where low-smoke zero-halogen (LSZH) jackets are required

Key specifications

• Product: Patch Cable ACT Black 2 meter LSZH U/FTP CAT6A
• Length: 2 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, snagless
• Cable construction: U/FTP, slimline (approx. 3.8 mm dia.)
• Conductor gauge: 32 AWG (higher attenuation vs 24 AWG)
• Jacket: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
• Contacts: Gold-plated

How to use

Insert the RJ45 connectors into the corresponding ports on your network devices or patch panels until they click. Route the slimline cable through cable management paths and rack spaces, taking advantage of the smaller diameter to maintain airflow and reduce congestion. For reliable performance, follow ACT guidance on maximum permanent link lengths to compensate for the higher attenuation of 32 AWG conductors.

Recommendations

ACT advises limiting bundle sizes to a maximum of 24 cables in PoE applications to prevent excessive temperature rise. ANSI TSB-184-A recommends that the center cable temperature increase remain less than 15 °C above ambient; observe this when planning PoE deployments and bundle configurations.
