Allround pan de Buyer Mineral B Element

The de Buyer Mineral B Element all-purpose pan is a durable iron frypan finished with an organic beeswax-based treatment that provides natural anti-oxidation protection and improved nonstick qualities. Made from 100% natural iron with a riveted steel handle, this pan is PFOA- and PTFE-free and produced without added chemicals. It is ecological, recyclable and suitable for use on all hotplates, including induction. Thickness ranges from 2.5 to 3 mm, with excellent heat conduction that allows high-temperature searing to lock in nutrients.

Advantages

The iron construction offers natural, long-lasting performance that improves with regular seasoning: the more the pan is used, the better the nonstick properties become. The organic beeswax finish provides initial anti-oxidation protection while keeping the product free from synthetic coatings. High heat capability makes the pan suitable for sealing, browning and grilling, and its recyclable manufacture supports environmentally conscious use.

Suitable for

• Sealing and browning meat and fish
• Grilling vegetables and other high-heat techniques
• Everyday frying and sautéing where improved seasoning is desired
• Use on gas, electric, ceramic and induction cooktops

How to use

Before first use, wash the pan with warm water and a mild detergent, then dry thoroughly. Heat the pan and apply a light layer of cooking oil to complete seasoning if desired. Use medium to high heat for searing and browning; adjust heat to prevent burning. After cooking, clean with hot water and a soft brush or sponge; avoid abrasive cleaners that remove seasoning. Dry immediately and apply a thin layer of oil to protect the pan and maintain its beeswax finish.

Recommendations

To build natural nonstick properties, use the pan regularly and maintain seasoning by occasionally heating and oiling the surface. Avoid prolonged soaking and acidic foods for extended periods to preserve the beeswax finish. Store in a dry place to prevent rust.
