Duwer Cimco 140058 staal kunststof 20000 mm

The Cimco 140058 push rod is a 20,000 mm cable-pulling rod constructed from steel with a protective plastic shell. Designed for professional cable installation tasks, it combines rigidity and flexibility to reach long distances while protecting cables and conduits from damage during routing. The plastic coating reduces friction and prevents marking on inner surfaces, while the steel core maintains straightness over extended runs.

Advantages

This steel-core, plastic-sheathed push rod delivers long reach without excessive bending, making it suitable for pulling through ducts and conduits. The combination of materials offers improved durability against wear and reduced risk of kinking compared with single-material rods. Its slim profile and smooth surface reduce resistance during insertion and retrieval, facilitating faster, more controlled cable pulls.

Suitable for

• Pulling electrical and data cables through conduits and ducts
• Routing optical fiber cables in enclosed spaces
• Running wiring through walls, ceilings, and floors in new builds or renovations
• Professional use by electricians, network installers, and maintenance technicians

Key specifications

• Length: 20,000 mm
• Core material: steel
• Outer sheath: plastic coating for low friction
• Design: flexible yet straight under push force
• Typical use environment: conduits, ducts, cable trays, and confined runs

How to use

Insert the push rod into the conduit or duct and advance it by applying steady pressure until the required distance is reached. Attach the cable to the lead end using an appropriate connector, swivel, or tape method that ensures a secure, low-profile connection and minimizes catch points. Withdraw the rod while pulling the cable back through the run, maintaining moderate tension and steady movement to reduce snagging. Inspect the sheath and cable during the process and correct any misalignment before proceeding.

Recommendations

Before use, verify conduit diameter and remove sharp edges or obstructions. Use suitable connection fittings and avoid excessive bending radii beyond the product's capability. Store the rod coiled or on a reel to prevent permanent deformation and inspect for damage after heavy use. For long or complex runs consider using a lubricant compatible with the plastic sheath to reduce friction.
