EDIMAX EW-7822UBE draadloze USB-adapter — dual-band 802.11ac, USB 2.0

EDIMAX EW-7822UBE is a compact Wireless USB adapter that supports IEEE 802.11ac dual-band Wi‑Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and connects via USB 2.0. Designed for desktops and laptops lacking built-in 802.11ac capability, this adapter delivers higher wireless throughput and improved range compared with legacy 802.11n devices. The EDIMAX EW-7822UBE enables faster file transfers, smoother streaming and lower-latency online activities while remaining small and portable.

Advantages

The EW-7822UBE provides dual-band operation to reduce interference on crowded 2.4 GHz networks and to take advantage of the less congested 5 GHz band for higher throughput. USB 2.0 connectivity ensures broad compatibility with older and newer systems, and the compact form factor makes it convenient for mobile use and minimal desktop footprint. Support for IEEE 802.11ac improves transfer speeds and wireless performance compared with older standards.

Suitable for

• Upgrading a desktop PC or laptop without 802.11ac Wi‑Fi
• Smooth HD video streaming and video calls on the 5 GHz band
• Online gaming with lower latency compared to 2.4 GHz congestion
• Home and small office wireless internet access

Recommendations

For best results place the adapter in a USB port that provides a clear line of sight to the wireless router or use a short USB extension cable to improve placement. When streaming or gaming, select the 5 GHz network when signal strength is adequate; switch to 2.4 GHz if you need greater range through walls. Keep drivers updated from EDIMAX to maintain compatibility and security.
