Handzaag Silky Blade Gomboy 270-10 medium, 270 mm blad, 10 TPI, model KSi522227

Silky Blade Gomboy 270-10 medium is a folding hand saw with a 270 mm blade and a 10 TPI tooth pattern designed for pruning and general wood cutting. The compact, foldable construction provides secure blade storage and easy transport, while the medium tooth pitch balances cutting speed and surface finish. This model is intended for users who need a reliable, portable saw for garden maintenance, arboriculture tasks and outdoor activities.

Advantages

The saw combines a rigid 270 mm blade with a medium 10 TPI tooth geometry to deliver efficient cuts through green and dry wood while maintaining manageable effort and a reasonably clean cut surface. The folding mechanism locks the blade in open and closed positions for safe handling and compact storage. The handle shape is designed for secure grip and control during prolonged use, and the overall lightweight construction supports easy carrying during outdoor work.

Suitable for

• Pruning shrubs, small branches and fruit trees
• Cutting firewood and campwood for outdoor activities
• Arborist lower‑limb trimming and crown work at close range
• General woodworking tasks where a compact, portable saw is needed

Key specifications

• Blade length: 270 mm
• Tooth count: 10 teeth per inch (medium cut)
• Blade type: folding hand saw blade designed for pruning and wood cutting
• Cut type: medium pitch suitable for a balance of speed and finish
• Design: folding mechanism with blade lock for safe transport
• Intended use: pruning, general wood cutting, outdoor and garden work

How to use

Open the folding saw until the blade locks into the fully extended position, ensuring the locking mechanism is engaged before cutting. Hold the handle with a firm, comfortable grip and position the blade on the workpiece. Use steady, controlled strokes, allowing the saw teeth to do the cutting rather than applying excessive downward force. For pruning, make an initial shallow cut on the underside of the branch to prevent bark tearing, then complete the cut from the top side. After use, clean any sap or debris from the blade, fold the saw closed, and store it in a dry place.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as gloves and eye protection. Match the 10 TPI medium tooth pattern to the material and desired finish: it works well for general pruning and campwood but may be slower than coarse‑tooth saws when cutting large-diameter, dry timber. Regularly clean and lightly oil the blade to reduce corrosion and maintain cutting performance.
