Takkenzaag Silky 446-24 24 cm roestvrij staal zwart

The Silky 446-24 pruning saw features a 24 cm stainless steel blade mounted in a folding design that balances portability and cutting stability. Its gently curved blade and impulse-hardened large teeth are intended to make slicing through branches quick and efficient while the aluminum-reinforced chassis maintains rigidity similar to a fixed-blade saw. With an overall length of 505 mm and a lightweight construction (281.22 g), this pruning saw is suited to routine garden and arboricultural tasks.

Advantages

The 24 cm stainless steel blade offers corrosion resistance and consistent cutting performance. Impulse-hardened large teeth provide fast, aggressive cuts through green and dry wood. The folding mechanism enhances portability and safe storage, while the reinforced chassis improves stability during use. The curved blade profile increases cutting speed when working overhead or in the canopy.

Suitable for

• Pruning small to medium branches
• Tree canopy work and overhead cutting
• General garden maintenance and landscaping
• Transportable cutting tasks on the go

Key specifications

• Brand: Silky
• Model / MPN: KSi544624
• EAN: 4903585446248
• Blade length: 24 cm
• Blade material: Stainless steel with impulse-hardened teeth
• Overall length (open): 505 mm
• Weight: 281.22 g
• Handle / chassis: Aluminum-reinforced folding design

How to use

Open the saw fully until the locking mechanism engages and confirm the blade is secure before cutting. Position the curved blade on the branch and use smooth, controlled strokes to let the impulse-hardened teeth slice through the wood; avoid forcing the saw. For overhead work, maintain stable footing and use the curved profile to cut efficiently from above shoulder height. After use, clean sap and debris from the blade, close the saw, and store it in a dry place.

Recommendations

For best results, sharpen or replace the blade according to the manufacturer's guidance and use appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, eye protection). Regular cleaning and light lubrication will preserve stainless steel performance and the folding mechanism's function.
