HDD/SSD-behuizing Fantec ALU7MMU3 zilver 2,5 inch

The Fantec ALU7MMU3 Silver 2.5" HDD/SSD enclosure is a compact aluminium case designed to house a single 2.5-inch SATA drive. It provides an external connection via a Micro-USB B port and supports SATA I/II/III interfaces with a maximum data transfer rate up to 5 Gbit/s. The enclosure’s silver aluminium body offers lightweight protection while keeping the drive accessible for portable use and simple plug-and-play connection to compatible hosts.

Advantages

The aluminium construction combines light weight with improved heat dissipation compared with plastic enclosures. Support for SATA III ensures compatibility with modern 2.5-inch HDDs and SSDs while retaining backward compatibility with earlier SATA versions. The Micro-USB B connector and USB 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1) interface provide wide host compatibility and straightforward connectivity for laptops, desktops and many other devices. The single-drive design keeps installation and handling simple for quick drive swaps.

Safely eject the device from the host before disconnecting the cable to prevent data loss.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use a USB 3.0/3.1/3.2 Gen 1 compliant cable and connect to a matching USB port on the host. Ensure the inserted drive is compatible with 2.5" SATA specifications and observe standard anti-static precautions during installation. Avoid exposing the aluminium enclosure to prolonged moisture or extreme temperatures to maintain the integrity of the drive and enclosure.
