Hikvision DS-2CD2T46G2H-4I is an outdoor network turret IP camera equipped with a 4 mm fixed lens designed for general perimeter and site surveillance. The camera provides continuous IP streaming and integrates with standard NVRs and network video systems. Its weather-resistant housing and turret-style form factor simplify installation on walls and ceilings while delivering day/night imaging suitable for monitoring entrances, parking areas and exterior zones.

Advantages

The camera combines a compact turret design with a fixed 4 mm lens that offers a balanced field of view for short-to-medium range observation. Built for outdoor use, its housing protects internal components from weather and dust, and the unit supports standard network connectivity for remote viewing and recording. Night-time or low-light performance is addressed through day/night imaging capabilities, enabling 24/7 surveillance without frequent manual adjustments.

Suitable for

• Monitoring building entrances and access points

How to use

Mount the turret camera on a stable exterior surface such as a wall or soffit at a height that provides the desired coverage with the 4 mm fixed lens. Connect the camera to your local network and configure it via the camera web interface or with a compatible NVR to set resolution, frame rate and recording schedules. Adjust viewing angles by positioning the turret head during installation so that the fixed lens covers the intended field of view. Ensure power and network cabling are routed and sealed according to local installation standards.

Recommendations

For reliable outdoor performance, install the camera under minor shelter where possible and verify correct tilt and azimuth so the 4 mm lens captures target areas without obstructions. Use compatible NVRs or network management software to manage recordings and alerts, and schedule periodic checks to confirm weather seals and cable integrity.
