Mini DisplayPort naar VGA adapter ProXtend MDP-VGAA-0002

The ProXtend MDP-VGAA-0002 active video cable adapter converts a digital Mini DisplayPort signal from a computer or other Mini DisplayPort-enabled device to an analogue VGA signal for an external monitor or projector. The adapter supports a maximum resolution of 1080p (1920 x 1080) at 60 Hz and is supplied as a compact 0.2 m cable with a Mini DisplayPort connector on one end and a VGA (D-Sub) connector on the other.

Advantages

This active Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter enables connection between modern Mini DisplayPort sources and legacy VGA displays without loss of display compatibility. Supporting up to 1080p at 60 Hz, it provides clear video transmission for presentations and standard display work. Its compact 20 cm length and black finish make it convenient for portable use and integration with existing setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting laptops or desktops with Mini DisplayPort to VGA projectors
• Using older monitors with VGA inputs
• Presentations in meeting rooms and classrooms
• Temporary video connections where analogue VGA is required

How to use

Connect the Mini DisplayPort end of the adapter to the Mini DisplayPort output on your computer or device. Plug the VGA (D-Sub) connector into the VGA input of the monitor or projector. Switch on both devices; the adapter will perform active signal conversion from digital to analogue. If needed, select the correct input on the display and adjust the display resolution to 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz or a supported lower resolution.

Recommendations

For best results, use with devices that support Mini DisplayPort output and displays that accept VGA input. Keep cable length short between adapter and display to minimise signal degradation; if higher resolutions or longer runs are required, consider a native digital connection or a powered converter suited to the needed distance and resolution.
