Adapter Mini-DisplayPort naar DisplayPort ProXtend ITH-MDP-DP1.2 — 4K-ondersteuning

The ProXtend ITH-MDP-DP1.2 adapter converts a Mini-DisplayPort output to a DisplayPort input, enabling connection of laptops and compatible devices to monitors, TVs or projectors that accept DisplayPort. It supports 4K resolution and is intended for applications requiring a stable digital video link between a Mini-DisplayPort source and a DisplayPort display. The compact form factor and single-cable conversion make it suitable for mobile workstations and fixed desktop setups where space and cable simplicity matter.

Advantages

This adapter provides reliable signal conversion with support for up to 4K resolution at compatible refresh rates, ensuring clear image quality for high-resolution content. Its plug-and-play operation requires no drivers, simplifying installation across different operating systems. The small, lightweight design reduces desk clutter and is easy to carry with a laptop. Engineered for stable digital transmission, it minimizes flicker and signal loss compared with analogue adapters.

Suitable for

• Connecting laptops with Mini-DisplayPort to DisplayPort monitors or TVs
• Delivering 4K video for media playback, editing, and presentations
• Workstation setups requiring a reliable digital video link
• Classroom or conference-room AV connections and projector feeds

Key specifications

• Connector types: Mini-DisplayPort (source) to DisplayPort (display)
• Video support: up to 4K resolution (compatible with DisplayPort 1.2 bandwidth)
• Compatibility: designed for devices with Mini-DisplayPort output and displays with DisplayPort input
• Form factor: compact, lightweight adapter for portable use
• Operation: plug-and-play, no driver installation required

How to use

Plug the Mini-DisplayPort end into the source device and connect the DisplayPort end to the display using a DisplayPort cable. Power on both devices and select the appropriate input on the monitor or TV if required. The adapter functions without additional software; display settings such as resolution and refresh rate can be adjusted in the operating system’s display settings to match the connected display’s capabilities.

Recommendations

For best results, use a high-quality DisplayPort cable rated for the required resolution and refresh rate. Verify the source device and display support the target 4K resolution and configure the display output accordingly. Avoid excessive bending near the adapter connector and disconnect by holding the adapter housing rather than pulling the cable to prolong service life.
