NETGEAR EXS27-100PES Nighthawk BE5000 dualband WiFi 7-repeater

NETGEAR Nighthawk EXS27-100PES extends an existing wireless network using dual-band WiFi 7. The BE5000 rating combines theoretical link rates of up to 689 Mb/s on 2.4 GHz and 4320 Mb/s on 5 GHz. These are radio link rates; actual transfer speed depends on the router, client device, interference and placement.

One 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port provides a wired connection, and three internal antennas serve the wireless connection. Smart Roaming lets the extender use the existing network name and password. WPA, WPA2 and WPA3 security are supported. Setup is available through WPS with a compatible router or the Nighthawk app, which requires a free NETGEAR account.

The extender plugs into a mains socket and is intended to improve coverage where the existing router signal is still usable. The manufacturer quotes coverage up to approximately 140 m² under suitable conditions. Choose a location between the router and the area needing coverage, and check signal strength during setup.
