Netwerkkabel Helos Cat 6a S/FTP 5 m rood

The Helos Cat 6a S/FTP 5 m Red networking cable provides a reliable physical link for Ethernet connections up to 5 meters. Designed for high-speed local area networks, the cable uses S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity. Both ends are fitted with RJ-45 connectors for straightforward connection to routers, switches, network cards and other Ethernet-enabled devices. The red jacket helps with visual identification within cabling bundles or server cabinets.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil shield with individually foil-wrapped twisted pairs to minimize crosstalk and external noise, supporting more stable data transmission in environments with multiple cables and electronic equipment. The cable construction complies with Category 6a performance guidelines to support higher bandwidth applications, while pre-terminated RJ-45 plugs ensure immediate use without additional tooling. The 5 m length offers flexibility for desktop, rack or wall-mount setups and the colored outer jacket aids quick cable management.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Connecting desktop computers, switches and routers within home or office networks
• Patch connections in network cabinets and server rooms
• High-bandwidth applications such as HD video streaming and large file transfers
• Environments with multiple adjacent cables or sources of electromagnetic interference

Key specifications

• Cable type: S/FTP (overall foil with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Category: Cat 6a performance
• Length: 5 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, pre-terminated
• Colour: Red

How to use

Verify that both network devices support the intended Ethernet speed and power-over-Ethernet requirements if applicable. Insert the RJ-45 connectors into the corresponding Ethernet ports until a click confirms they are seated. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it clear of sources of sustained heat. For rack or cabinet installations, secure the cable with appropriate ties or cable management accessories to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable in parallel alongside high-voltage power lines for extended lengths and maintain bend radii greater than the cable diameter. Use the red colour for easy identification in multi-cable installations and replace the cable if connectors show physical damage or if network diagnostics indicate persistent errors.
