Netwerkkabel ProXtend CAT5e U/UTP CCA PVC grijs 0,25 m

The ProXtend CAT5e U/UTP CCA PVC Grey 0.25m network cable uses copper-clad aluminum (CCA) conductors with 26 AWG strands and a PVC jacket to provide an economical Ethernet connection. The cable features gold-plated RJ-45 connectors, U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair with overall unshielded) construction and a 0.25 m length suitable for short patching tasks. It supports 10/100/1000Base-T(X) data rates up to 1000 Mbit/s and is available in a neutral grey colour.

Advantages

The cable combines cost-effective CCA conductors with 26 AWG stranded construction to reduce material cost while maintaining compatibility with standard RJ-45 ports. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors improve contact reliability and the integrated strain relief and latch protection increase connector durability during repeated insertions and removals. U/UTP design ensures straightforward installation in typical home and office networks.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Short patch connections between devices (PC, switch, router) in home or office environments
• Connecting network equipment in confined spaces, cable organizers or patch panels
• Temporary cabling and troubleshooting where short, economical cables are needed

Key specifications

• Length: 0.25 m
• Conductor: Copper-clad aluminum (CCA), 26 AWG
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, gold-plated
• Cabling technology: 10/100/1000Base-T(X)
• Shielding: U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair)
• Jacket: PVC
• Colour: Grey
• Weight: 0.0196 kg

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding network port until the latch clicks to ensure a secure connection. Use the 0.25 m cable for short-distance links between devices such as a computer and a switch or router. Avoid bending the cable sharply near the connectors and do not place heavy objects on the cable to maintain signal integrity and prolong service life.

Recommendations

For best performance, use this CAT5e CCA patch cable for short, non-critical links where a low-cost cable is acceptable. For longer runs or installations requiring maximum conductivity and long-term reliability, consider using pure copper (CU) cables.
