Netwerkkabel ProXtend CAT5e U/UTP CCA PVC rood 0,5 m

The ProXtend CAT5e U/UTP CCA PVC Red 0.5m is a short patch cable designed for reliable Ethernet connections in home and office networks. Constructed with copper-clad aluminum (CCA) conductors of AWG 26 and U/UTP construction, this 0.5 m cable supports data rates up to 1000 Mbit/s and uses male RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts for improved contact stability. The cable is finished in red PVC and includes strain relief and latch protection for more secure and durable connections.

Advantages

This ProXtend CAT5e cable offers a cost-effective solution where full copper is not required, combining CCA conductors and AWG 26 strand construction to reduce material cost while maintaining CAT5e performance for Gigabit Ethernet over short runs. Reinforced strain relief and latch protectors help prevent connector damage during frequent plugging and unplugging, and gold-plated contacts improve corrosion resistance and contact reliability.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, switches and routers within LANs
• Short patching between wall outlets and network devices (0.5 m length)
• Home and small office network setups where visible cable color coding is useful

Key specifications

• Cable length: 0.5 m
• Standard: CAT5e, 10/100/1000Base-T(X)
• Conductor: Copper-clad aluminum (CCA), AWG 26
• Shielding: U/UTP (unshielded pairs, overall unshielded)
• Connectors: RJ-45 male – RJ-45 male
• Contacts: Gold-plated
• Color: Red
• Weight: 0.0236 kg

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding Ethernet port on your devices (for example, between a router and a switch or between a PC and a wall jack). Ensure the latch clicks into place to secure the connection and avoid bending the cable sharply near the connectors. Use the 0.5 m length for short, tidy connections where a longer cable would cause clutter.

Recommendations

Use this CAT5e CCA cable for short-distance Gigabit Ethernet connections; avoid deploying it for long runs or in environments demanding maximum copper conductivity. Keep the cable away from strong electromagnetic interference sources for best performance.
