Schroef Cimco 190006 — verzinkt metaal, voor vezelplaten, 20 mm lengte, 3 mm schroefdraaddiameter, 1 stuk

Single Cimco 190006 screw made of galvanized metal, designed for fastening in fibreboard and similar composite panels. With a length of 20 mm and a thread diameter of 3 mm, the screw provides a compact, corrosion-resistant connection for light-duty furniture assembly and repair tasks. Supplied as a single piece, it is suitable when only one replacement fastener is needed or for small, precise fixes where a short screw is required.

Advantages

The galvanized finish gives the screw enhanced resistance to corrosion and moisture compared with untreated steel, extending service life in indoor environments. Its 20 mm length and 3 mm thread diameter make it suitable for shallow panels and thin components while limiting material splitting. The small pack quantity (1 pc) allows buying exactly the number needed without excess. The metal construction ensures reliable mechanical strength for light to moderate holding applications.

How to use

Select a screw type and length appropriate to panel thickness; for a 20 mm screw verify that the remaining thread engagement will not protrude or split the material. Pre-drilling a pilot hole with a slightly smaller diameter than 3 mm can reduce the risk of splitting and improve alignment when working with brittle particleboard. Drive the screw slowly with a compatible screwdriver or powered driver until the head is flush with the surface or seated to the required depth; avoid over-tightening to prevent crushing or stripping the fibreboard.

Recommendations

For better load distribution in thin panels, consider using a washer or plastic insert if available, and keep indoor use in dry or moderately humid environments to maximize the corrosion resistance of the galvanized coating. Store unused screws in a dry place to prevent surface oxidation.
