Schroef Cimco 190051 — verzinkt metaal, voor vezelplaten, 30 mm lengte, 5 mm schroefdraaddiameter, 1 stuk

Single Cimco 190051 screw made of galvanized metal, designed for use in fibreboard and similar engineered wood. The screw is 30 mm long with a 5 mm thread diameter and is supplied as one piece per pack. Its galvanized surface increases corrosion resistance and provides a durable mechanical connection for furniture assembly, repair jobs and light joinery where a reliable fix in fibreboard is required.

Advantages

The galvanized finish reduces the risk of rust and discoloration when used in indoor environments. The 5 mm thread diameter combined with the 30 mm length offers adequate holding power in medium-density fibreboard without excessive splitting. Supplied as a single unit, this screw allows for replacement or targeted repairs without purchasing larger quantities. The metal composition ensures consistent thread strength and dimensional stability during installation.

How to use

Pre-drill a pilot hole appropriate for a 5 mm thread diameter to reduce splitting in fibreboard; the pilot hole diameter should match the substrate density and the screw type. Position the screw perpendicular to the panel surface and drive it slowly with a suitable screwdriver or a low-speed drill driver until the head is flush or slightly recessed as required. Avoid over-tightening to prevent crushing of the fibreboard and loss of holding power.

Recommendations

For best results in medium-density fibreboard, use a pilot hole and set the torque of the driver to a moderate level. Store the screw in a dry environment to maintain its galvanized coating. Use this screw for indoor applications or where moderate corrosion resistance is sufficient; for outdoor or high-humidity environments consider fasteners specifically rated for exterior exposure.
