Schroef cimco 190054 — verzinkte metaalschroef voor spaanplaat, 50 mm lengte, 5 mm schroefdraaddiameter, 1 stuks

Cimco 190054 is a single galvanized metal screw designed for fastening fibreboard and similar sheet materials. With a length of 50 mm and a 5 mm thread diameter, this screw provides a secure mechanical connection while the zinc galvanization offers basic corrosion resistance for indoor and protected outdoor applications. Supplied as one piece per pack, it fits standard tools and can be used where a medium-length, medium-diameter screw is needed for composite panels, furniture components or construction elements made from fibreboard.

Advantages

The galvanized coating reduces surface oxidation and extends service life compared with untreated steel in non-aggressive environments. The 5 mm thread diameter ensures sufficient shear and pull-out strength for typical fibreboard densities, while the 50 mm length provides adequate embedding depth without protruding excessively. Compatibility with common screwdrivers and cordless drivers makes handling straightforward for single-item fastening tasks.

How to use

Select an appropriate pilot hole size for the 5 mm thread diameter and the density of the fibreboard to reduce splitting. Position the screw perpendicular to the workpiece and drive it with a compatible screwdriver or a cordless driver at moderate speed, applying steady pressure. Stop when the screw head is flush with or slightly below the surface as required by the application. For repeated or load-bearing connections, check alignment and adjust depth to ensure a consistent hold.

Recommendations

For best results in soft or thin fibreboard, pre-drill a pilot hole and consider using a countersink if a flush finish is needed. Avoid prolonged exposure to unprotected outdoor conditions to minimize corrosion; for exterior or high-humidity environments, select fasteners with heavier corrosion protection.
