Schroef Cimco 190088, gegalvaniseerd metaal, voor vezelplaten, lengte 16 mm, schroefdraad-Ø 3,5 mm, 1 stuk

The Cimco screw 190088 is a single galvanized metal fastener designed for use in fibreboard and similar composite wood panels. With a total length of 16 mm and a thread diameter of 3.5 mm, this screw is intended for light joinery, furniture assembly and small repair tasks where a short, corrosion-resistant fixing is required. The zinc coating provides basic protection against rust, making the screw suitable for indoor applications and areas with limited moisture exposure.

Advantages

The galvanized finish improves corrosion resistance compared with untreated steel, extending service life in indoor environments. The 3.5 mm thread diameter offers reliable grip in fibreboard without excessive splitting or expansion of the material. Its short 16 mm length reduces the risk of protrusion through thin panels and is convenient for assembly of fittings, hinges and small brackets. Supplied as a single piece, the screw is useful for replacement and repair where only one fastener is needed.

How to use

Select a screw size appropriate to the panel thickness and the fitting being attached. For best results in fibreboard, pre-drilling a pilot hole with a small-diameter drill bit slightly smaller than the thread diameter can reduce splitting and ensure straight insertion. Drive the screw with a compatible screwdriver bit at moderate speed and pressure until the head sits flush or slightly countersunk with the surface. Avoid over-torquing, which can strip the fibreboard or deform the screw head.

Recommendations

Use indoors or in sheltered locations to maintain the integrity of the galvanized coating. For structural or outdoor applications, choose fasteners specified for higher corrosion resistance or longer lengths as appropriate. Store in a dry place to prevent surface corrosion before use.
