SSD-behuizing DeLOCK 42015 Grijs M.2 20 Gbit/s USB Type-C

The DeLOCK 42015 grey SSD enclosure houses a single M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD in sizes 2280, 2260 or 2242 and connects to a PC or laptop via USB Type-C. Its robust metal and aluminium chassis with cooling fins helps maintain optimal memory temperature. The enclosure supports USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (SuperSpeed USB 20 Gbps) for high-speed data transfer and allows hot-swapping of M.2 drives. RGB LED lighting on the top and a gaming-style appearance match modern gaming setups. An additional DC power jack is provided for SSDs with higher power demands when USB power is insufficient.

Advantages

The metal housing with integrated cooling fins improves heat dissipation to stabilise SSD performance. Support for PCIe NVMe M.2 formats 2280/2260/2242 and USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 provides fast data throughput up to 20 Gbps. The compact, single-bay design enables easy hot-swapping of drives, while the USB Type-C connector ensures broad compatibility with modern systems. An extra DC power input allows use with high-power SSDs without relying solely on USB power.

Suitable for

• External storage for gaming PCs and laptops
• Fast file transfers and backups using PCIe NVMe M.2 drives
• Hot-swapping M.2 SSDs for testing or maintenance
• Portable NVMe storage with USB Type-C connectivity

Key specifications

• Supported M.2 sizes: 2280, 2260, 2242
• Supported interface: M.2 PCI Express (NVMe)
• USB: USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (SuperSpeed USB 20 Gbps) over USB Type-C
• Material: Aluminium / Metal
• Colour: Grey

How to use

Open the enclosure according to the included instructions, insert an M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD (size 2280/2260/2242) and secure it in the M.2 slot. Connect the enclosure to a computer using the supplied USB Type-C cable to use the drive immediately; the device supports hot-swapping. If the installed SSD requires more power than the USB port provides, connect a compatible external power supply to the DC jack before use. Observe proper orientation and mounting to avoid damage to the SSD.

Recommendations

For sustained heavy workloads, ensure good ventilation around the aluminium housing and consider using the DC power input if throughput or stability issues occur due to power limits from the USB port.
