SSD-behuizing DELOCK 42025 voor 1 x M.2 (PCIe, USB4 Gen4, USB-C) grijs, aluminium

The DeLOCK 42025 grey SSD enclosure accepts one M.2 PCIe NVMe 2280 SSD and connects to a PC or laptop via Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4 or USB-C. It supports USB 40 Gbps (USB4 Gen 4) connectivity and uses a USB Type-C connector. The enclosure is made of aluminium and metal and is designed for hot-swapping of M.2 drives.

Advantages

The enclosure provides high-speed PCIe NVMe support up to the host's maximum USB 40 Gbps capability while remaining compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and 4 ports as well as USB-C ports. It features a side LED light bar plus a power LED for connection status indication, tool-free SSD installation for quick media changes, and an integrated switchable fan in the base for active cooling. The compact aluminium/metal housing is finished in grey.

Suitable for

• Portable high-speed external storage for laptops and desktops
• Backup and fast file transfers of large media files
• Temporary or frequent SSD swapping (hot-swapping)
• Use cases requiring controlled SSD temperatures via active cooling

Key specifications

• Model: DeLOCK 42025
• Supported drive: 1 × M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD, 2280 format
• Interface to host: USB Type-C (USB4 Gen 4 / USB 40 Gbps), compatible with Thunderbolt 3/4
• Material: Aluminium, metal
• Colour: Grey
• Cooling: Silent, switchable fan (active cooling)
• Special features: Tool-free SSD installation, LED light bar and power LED
• Note: On USB Gen 2x2 ports the effective transfer rate is limited to 10 Gbps due to the USB–NVMe controller

How to use

Open the enclosure following the manufacturer's instructions, insert an M.2 PCIe NVMe 2280 SSD into the M.2 slot and secure it using the tool-free mechanism. Connect the enclosure to a compatible host using a USB Type-C cable to a USB4/Thunderbolt 3/Thunderbolt 4 or USB-C port. Use the fan switch to enable or disable active cooling as needed. The LED indicators and side light bar will show connection and interface status.

Recommendations

For maximum performance connect the enclosure to a USB4/Thunderbolt 3 or 4 port. If using a USB Gen 2x2 host, expect transfer rates limited to 10 Gbps due to the controller. Keep ventilation unobstructed when the fan is enabled and follow safe handling procedures when hot-swapping drives.
