Vivolink PROUSB3AAF40 USB-kabel USB 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1) 40 m USB A zwart

The Vivolink PROUSB3AAF40 is a 40 m optical-fiber USB cable that implements USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.1 Gen 1) technology to deliver data transfer rates up to 5 Gbit/s while fully maintaining backward compatibility with USB 2.0. Designed for long-distance signal transmission, the cable uses fiber extension to preserve signal integrity and has gold-plated USB A connectors and a black jacket for durable, professional installation.

Advantages

This cable enables high-speed data transfer up to 5 Gbit/s across a 40 m run and supports legacy USB 2.0 devices. The optical-fiber construction reduces signal loss and electromagnetic interference on long runs, and the gold-plated USB A connectors improve contact reliability and resistance to corrosion. The product is lightweight for its length (0.55 kg) and comes in a standard USB A to USB A configuration for direct connection between host and peripheral when supported.

Suitable for

• Extending USB connections between a computer and peripherals over long distances (40 m)
• Setups requiring minimal electromagnetic interference for reliable data links
• Situations where USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbit/s) speed with USB 2.0 backward compatibility is needed

How to use

Connect one end of the Vivolink PROUSB3AAF40 to the host USB A port and the other end to the peripheral USB A port. If the connected devices require USB 3.x speeds, ensure both endpoints support USB 3.2 Gen 1 and use compatible drivers. Because USB 3.0/3.2 remains an open standard, some devices or hubs may not accept fiber-based extensions; perform a connection test before permanent installation to confirm full functionality.

Recommendations

Before installing the cable permanently, test the connection between your specific host and peripheral to verify USB 3.x functionality. If you experience compatibility issues, check device firmware/drivers or use a direct copper USB cable for short runs.
